International Banking and Finance Certificate (IBCI) - Intermediate (IBCI) is designed to further develop and enhance participants' knowledge and understanding of banking and finance.

For those participants who wish then wish to undertake further study, International Banking and Finance Certificate
– Intermediate (IBCI) has been designed to further develop and enhance their knowledge and understanding of banking and finance, and provide the option to study specific role- related areas of banking and finance in more depth.

Unit 1 provides comprehensive learning across the breadth of banking functions, while the choice of options for Unit 2 provides participants with the opportunity to focus on a specialised area of banking and finance that best fits their career aspirations and strengths. The International Banking & Finance Certificate – Intermediate is made up of two units. Unit 1 provides comprehensive learning across the breadth of banking functions and is common to all participants, while Unit 2 will focus on a specialist topic from the selection of:

  • Corporate Banking (CORB)
  • Investment Banking and Markets (INVB)
  • Risk and Credit (RSCR)
  • Compliance (COMP)

Specialisation selection of each participant will be done after Unit 1 is complete, taking into consideration feedback from trainers, option choices from participants and confirmation from employer.

  • For more experienced professionals
  • To gain a robust understanding of adjacent businesses: for example, relationship managers pursuing better product knowledge, or product specialists looking to understand credit analysis
  • Offers a range of industry recognised qualifications designed to support those in management and graduate entrant roles
  • 30 of the required 60 credits can be achieved by undertaking Progress training courses
  • Candidates who achieve 60 credits at this stage, including the Conduct of Business qualifications, are eligible to achieve the Professional Diploma in Banking and Finance (PDipB&F) designation and apply for Associate status of The London Institute of Banking & Finance.
